WWSME AGM 2023
The West Wiltshire Society of Model Engineers Ltd AGM will be held on 5th April 2023 starting at
7:30. The meeting will be a hybrid meeting at the clubhouse, with members able to join the
meeting via Zoom. If attending at the clubhouse please arrive in time to be ready for the meeting to
commence on time. Because of the need to record attendance at the AGM please e-mail me for the
link to join the meeting via Zoom. Please keep microphones muted when not making a formal
comment. To make a comment please use the “raise hand” flag and speak when invited to do so.
The Club site at Westbury is open to members six days a week (Wednesday is a working party day). Gate codes have been advised in the Newsletter. The Clubhouse will be open for use on Friday mornings and Saturday running days. See Events.
Boiler testing: many members have been unable to have their steam boilers certificated recently due to the lockdown. If you wish to run an engine soon please please arrange a test in advance, there can be no guarantee of ad hoc testing being available at the last minute in the future.
PUBLIC EVENTS
WE ARE CATCHING UP WITH MAINTENANCE FOLLOWING THE PANDEMIC AND HOPE TO RESTART PUBLIC EVENTS LATER THIS YEAR.
Members are working hard to catch up on the maintenance that could not be done during the pandemic, there is two years worth being done as fast as possible to ensure safety standards before we can open for public running. Please bear with us, we really want to see you all again as soon as we can.
We run several events during the year that are open to the public to showcase some of our activities and to provide a good day out, especially for families.
